Age – the catch up

by mott on November 12, 2011

When people meet me for the very first time, it’s hard for them to comprehend I have three kids. And not exactly young ones either. It’s hard because they think I look so young. But they fail to see my wrinkled eye skin, my worry lines, my white roots showing (on days when I do not remember to highlight my hair)…and of course, my lack of energy! LOL

I am not saying I’m a good lookin’, young, hip n happenin’ kinda person.. I’m just saying what other people say to me. The most unfortunate thing is, instead of taking it as a compliment, gracefully, I just frown and say..NOOOOOO..you got it all wrong! And I go on about how I need reading glasses sunglasses, and how I really like my nanna naps (even though it’s a super rare occasion when I actually get to take one).

Sometimes, I really feel my age. But..it’s just a number, right?

Yeap. Its how young you feel that’s your real age :) (ha, who am I kidding? as I still feel like I’m in my 20′s!! make that early 20′s!)

great post! I always believe that women grow more beautiful as they grow older. And sometimes our age doesn’t show!

aww isn’t it flattering? i always get the same compliments too. true that age is just a number and young is an attitude! :) Staying young is a result of thinking positive and an open minded outlook on life and the result is a young looking person.
