5 min DIY playdough

by mott on July 29, 2011

I can’t believe it…and you may not too, seeing that my kids are fairly older. But, I’ve never actually made playdough at home before. I’ve made it at kinder..for the kinder kids, but not for my kids.

Selective, much?

Well… Mr.T asked if he could have some playdough, because he had to create something using something pliable..and I opened my gargantous mouth and said, I would make that playdough.

And he said.. Ok, need it tomorrow.

Dang!

Well, I didn’t want to do it the over-the-stove way. I really wanted minimal washing up and in the least time possible.

Found this great method ~ google, you’re the best! xox

1 cup water

1 cup flour

1/2cup salt

2 tsp cream of tartar

1 tbs cooking oil

Mix it all together. Put it in the microwave for 40 secs. Knead it again with your hands. You’ll find it’s still sticky. Put in the microwave for 10-15 secs. Knead it until it becomes pliable. You may have to microwave for another 10-15 secs. Depending on how sticky the dough is. But once you’re kneading it and it all becomes more playdough-y.. it’s done.

Drip some drops of colour…and wah lah!
playdough

Not bad for 5 minutes!
