Recently, a burglar was caught because he was actually updating his status in FB at the victim’s home. Yes, he updated something silly like how he scored with his recent break-in. I wonder how stupid can we get? And then there’s the other thing about updating your status too much, to the extent where would-be burglars will know your schedule and choose the most convenient time to steal from you.
Of course, if you have installed into one of those home security systems, then the chances of that happening would be reduced.
I must admit, when FB first came about, updating statuses was fun. Reading other people’s statuses was fun. Then, it came to a point where I really didn’t want to know if their coffee at Starbucks sucked or not. And to a point, where I didn’t see a point in updating my status anymore. Who the heck wants to read about my day with 2 door-to-door salesmen, and how I turned them away?
Is there a point to FB status? Yes.. if someone dies.. pls let me know. If only I can update my death posthumously.
