Vanity

by mott on November 27, 2009

My skin used to be fairly smooth and blemish free. However, after my 1st pregnancy, I noticed that I was growing bumps on the area just under my eyes. I didn’t really think about it, because they were really tiny bumps. I managed to squeeze in a facial this one time, and the lady who was attending to me, mentioned that they were skin tags.

Again, I didn’t take much notice about them. I must’ve lost my sense of vanity when I lost my dignity to a group of medical staff. Or it must’ve been because I lacked sleep, and all I could think about was… SLEEP!

Well, this past year, I’ve noticed that these lil bumps have been growing quite rapidly, and I was getting desperate. Yes! I have regained my sense of vanity back! Time to be a hawt mama once again! Heh..

I thought I could use the best acne treatment there was. But guess what? They weren’t exactly acne, so, it didn’t really work.

I googled online and found that skin tags are harmless. And they do not regrow after it has been eliminated. Now, how does one eliminate them? Two most common ways are :

1) Snipping them off with a super clean fingernail cutter, or,

2) Tying them off, cutting their blood circulation and waiting for them to fall off.

Well, I couldn’t do No.2, simply because they were just too tiny for me to actually get a knot over it. I tried No.1 recently, and despite what everyone on the health and beauty forum said, it hurt. It hurt for me! I think it was because I was so desperate, I used a dull nail cutter.

Duh. I feel real dumb now.
