Today is a sad day.
Why? Actually, it all started 2 Mondays ago. That was when one of my beloved lenses fell to the floor, and something inside broke. I must have been in denial, because I didn’t think it would be that bad.
I sent it to a Camera Clinic, and for days, I waited for them to call me back. See, if the repairs cost more than AUD140, they have to call me and let me know. Because it took so long, I was hoping that it would be less..and I would get my lenses back before the spring break. I so heart my lenses..they are really good lenses.
I couldn’t stand the wait any longer and called them, last Wed. I repeated my docket no. twice, and the girl had to look through her POS systems, twice, to find the status. All she could say was, that it was in the workshop.
Then, today, I call them again, to check the status..and she told me it normally takes 2 weeks to check. Craps!
In the arvo, I received a SMS, and called them back.
As she s-l-o-w-l-y read through the problem, my heart was racing faster and faster. When she finally told me the cost, I almost fainted. I might as well get a new lens.
I think it’s because they claim to be the only legitimate repair clinic for nikon, they can jack up their prices.
Well….. here’s my finger..and I’ll send it back to M’sia, because I know, it won’t cost that much! Even lenses are wayyy cheaper. It really makes no sense.
Now.. have to find a way to beg Mr.T to get me a new lens. Sigh…..
