Married Life

by mott on July 12, 2009

As when a marriage comes to an end, for in the case of my uncle, who’s wife passed away from breast cancer a year back, loneliness sets in. His only son (my cousin) who is living in LA at the moment, rushed to marry his fiance (in a ROM), before his mom passed away. In a spooky way, looking at their wedding photographs, his new wife, actually looked like his mom (during their wedding ceremony, held this year). During their wedding dinner (this year), as he toasted the happy couple, his tears fell, as he asked everyone to remember his dear first wife and how happy she would be if she were alive. He truly loved her.

But, there it was…my cousin was seriously contemplating on moving back all the way, with his new wife, just to be with his dad. He had called several moving companies Los Angeles, and received many quotes. And then, out of the blue, his dad calls him and tells him, he has a new lady friend.

When my mom first told me, I was “You go, Uncle! What a dawg!”.. Ha ha. I was very happy and pleased that my uncle managed to find a suitable companion to accompany him. Y’see, his first wife had tunnel vision and suffering from breast cancer really took a toll on him. But, he never ever complained…and he never falted. He was a real rock for her…and now, I’m happy because he certainly deserves a chance to be happy, with a healthy 50something lady. I can’t wait to go for their wedding ceremony, which I believe will be a simple but beautiful one.

So..don’t think love stops. As long as you let go of your loved ones, you’ll be able to continue loving more.
