Every week, No.1 has a spelling test. It happens at the end of the week, so, on Monday, he’ll bring back a list, and we’ll go through it together. Every night.
It’s pretty cool. Initially, he was given really easy lists..and he was always excited that he knew how to spell them. Then, late last term, he was given a more challenging list, and miraculously he was still excited!
Funny thing was although he would know how to spell some pretty hard words, he had no idea what they were! One of them, were breeches, I had to explain what they were. I found it funny, because not only did they have to know how to spell it, they had to make a sentence out of it. Wouldn’t it be funny if he didn’t know what it was and used it wrongly?
Ah..kids!

I love spelling tests!!! No. 1 sounds like he may like spelling bees too…
