Wintery Autumn?

by mott on May 9, 2009

The weather in Melbourne has been undeniably unpredictable. I mean, I knew that we always had unpredictable weather, but when Autumn came rolling by, it felt like it was in the middle of Winter! It was that cold! In fact, the coldest day was just last week, about 0deg celcius! Isn’t that crazy? I even heard that it was already snowing in some parts of Victoria.

I have been thinking of visiting the mountains somewhere late July/early August, but seeing that it’s been so cold, I might be able to go when it’s the kids’ school hols in early July! But, I have to make sure that my North Face jacket is all dry-cleaned and ready to go. And the kids’ too! Then again, I may have to buy new ones, as they have grown up quite a fair bit since last Winter.

Man, that means I have to go shopping for clothes again! I mean, my littlest guy is already one, and he’s already outgrown his never-worn sheepskin jacket! And it was the cutest sheepskin jacket ever! It had a hood and lil ears on it…just like a sheep!

Darn…. if only they had the adult version of that. Heh..

when i read your post the first time i was like, autumn? winter?! what is he talking about! and then i got it that you’re in australia on the other side of the globe! we’re having the spring now and preparing ourselves for the summer, but i’m sure your autumn is just as war as the spring in the northern hemisphere!
