Home-made Char Siew

What’s the best thing in the world? Eating home-cooked food. Of course, it would be better if someone else could cook it for me. But..given the circumstances, think I’d be eating english saddles if I didn’t cook. The thing about me is that when I’m craving to eat something, I’ll make it. No matter what.

And that’s what happened. Now, I have made Char-Siew* (Roasted/Chargrilled Pork) before. But, it wasn’t THAT authentic because I never bothered to chargrill it. Y’know, with the crispy outer layer.

Yumm… so, that’s what I did yesterday. I decided to go ALL the way. I gotta say, it was a tad too sweet but other than that…edible la. Just what my tummy ordered! ;)
