Our first BBQ
We planned to have our very first Aussie Barbie in our courtyard on Sunday. On Friday, I already googled online for recipes for a tasty, delicious, meaty BBQ. I also planned to have a fresh spring salad with feta cheese and semi-dried tomatoes..I love semi-dried tomatoes. For the meats, I marinated the lamb with a simple marinate - seasalt, sugar, pepper, sherry and threw in sprigs of rosemary. Chicken drummettes were marinated asian style - grated ginger, finely chopped garlic, sugar, soya sauce, oyster sauce, dark sauce and pepper.
On Sunday morning, No.1 started getting his fever back again. No.2 threw up and had diarrhea. We all decided our first BBQ was just not going to happen.
Sigh…put everything back into the freezer. And I was just salivating, thinking of all the meat I was going to devour. I’m such a carnivore!
