Since when has the journey of motherhood been so guilt-laden? I mean, seriously, even if I hired a South Carolina injury lawyer, the jury would find me guilty, ten times over.
No matter what your other job is (or none, in my case), being a mother will ultimately make you feel guilty one way or the other.
I’m sure every mom has been through at least one of these scenarios :
- Working hard (and long hours) and not spending enough time with your kids.
- Being at home and still not spending enough time with your kids.
- Wishing your kid/s would just be quiet for 5 minutes, so you’d know when the silence comes, you’d miss your kids rambunctious antics.
- Wishing you had all the money in the world, so you’d buy them whatever they wanted. And then take it away from them, when they misbehave.
- Being in a middle of a tantrum at a public area. For some reason, we all think, people actually care about our kids.
- Wondering for a split second, what type of exciting life you would lead, if you didn’t have kids.
We all somehow always feel guilty. I think we just love punishing ourselves. For the love of our kids.
