For the past week, my two elder sons have been helping out with the household chores. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered to help me, wipe the TV, wipe the kitchen tops, wipe the floor, water the plants, clearing their toys before they go to bed, etc.
Once, my No.2 even carried all the mats and carpets away, so that I could sweep and mop the floor! I caught him in the act and reprimanded him. I thought he was being naughty cheeky! What a bad mu-um I am!
Anyway, I thought I’d milk it today by asking him to help me with picking up his toys. I normally don’t do this during the day, as I find it a waste of time, picking up toys before the end of day. So, anyway, I asked him if he could help.
His answer???
“NO! YOU GO HELP YOURSELF!”
