The Upgrade
It has taken me a very VERY long time to upgrade ever since Wordpress announced its’ latest 2.5 version. I remembered my previous upgrade……I was seriously in a daze….reading wordy instructions which made me literally scratch my head wondering what the heck is root directory and .htaccess files. Then there was the warning signs to save the index.php file…
WHAT THE HELL???????
Man…I gotta say, my eyes were straining trying to see if by reading it word for word, maybe, perhaps the brain would understand..and do the “A-HAH!”. But…when I finally upgraded it then….my arse was all numbed from the pressure.
This round….I nervously told myself that I HAD to upgrade…I just had to. With three kids around… it was basically trying to fit them into my schedule today. The entire day, I spent again, on my arse…. numbing it to a point, where I couldn’t feel myself farting (but a sudden whiff of bad eggs told me I did!! 
)!
Then…I remembered reading about someone using a plugin to upgrade. I thought..what the heck. Did my backups… properly. Googled ” Easy Wordpress Upgrade”. It brought me to this wonderful blog……….and downloaded it quickly and imported the Plugin for Automated WP upgrades into my blog folders.
In a nerve-wrecking, nail biting 5 minutes..my ordeal was over. The upgrade was done. Nothing was lost. I am SO relieved.
A GIANT thanks to Keith DSouza, who without this plugin, would have seen me snapping at the entire family!
Now…I am going to have some nachos and watch “Boston Legal”, so excuse moi!
