Sacked!

I’m quite a strong supporter of Sleep-sacks. Ever since, it came out, I’ve been sourcing for cheap and/or secondhand ones. The original sleep-sack, Grobag, at that time, was really unaffordable and I really didn’t understand the ‘tog’ term.

So, I scoured the network through Ibu, for people who were selling second-hand Grobags. Of course, nobody really wanted to get rid of them. I didn’t understand it at first..but now I do.

Anyway, my first sleep-sack for No.2 was a second hand one made in Germany. It is quite thick but because he slept in an air-conditioned room, it was just nice. There isn’t a brand tag as it’s quite worned out. Anyway, needless to say, he slept really really well.

Then, I saw the Jonas Jodie sack for sale, in Bangsar, KL. Unfortunately, I found this design to be rather flimsy. As it had singular buttons on the shoulders, it kept coming off and No.2 was always out of it. I then found an even cheaper version, by Penyu (Malaysian brand), but the material is really thin, as it is made for the humid, tropical weather.

I actually wanted to sell them off, before I found out about my No.3 surprise.

Now, with No.3……as you all know, he sleeps super well. I think part of the reason is because of these sleep-sacks. They are truly a life-saver! They keep him warm and he feels really secure! Not once did I swaddle him..because he always escaped from his swaddle!

Anyway, I finally decided to get a Grobag Sleep-sack, when Bambini Pronto was having a mother’s day promotion (free delivery) and I can see firsthand why they are really good.

Firstly, their “tog” system helps daft people like me in ensuring that our lil ones don’t get overheated [You can check here for more info on the tog]. Which means, I don’t worry if he’s too cold or too hot.

Secondly, their zips and buttons are really secure. Means, these lil worms can’t wiggle their way out of these sacks.

Thirdly, they are by far, the longest sacks. Means more room for growth! Hee hee hee!

Anyway, I think I love these sacks because my No.3 is such a sound sleeper now. Seriously.
