No mood…
Posted on January 12, 2008
Was supposed to participate in this week’s photo hunter, but got bad news from my folks, that my aunt just passed away from breast cancer.
Sigh…
In a way, she is no longer suffering. She really suffered, with chemo, drugs, its’ side effects and the eventual breakdown of her physical body. She tried to be strong through meditation and prayers, since she is a staunch Buddhist. But, I could see it was hard. She had such a tiny little body. Just glad that I did make an effort to seeing her just before I took off. I didn’t take much effort in seeing many people, coz I was just too tired. But I’m glad I managed to talk to her.
She had tunnel-vision, which meant that she only could see shadows from a very young age. But, somehow, she managed to keep her spirits up and she actually worked as a Remisier. Before she got seriously ill, I’d bring my boys over…because I knew she loved to hold them. I knew her secret wish was that her just got married son would bring home, a grandchild. The fact that he lived in S.F…didn’t help.
Aiya…so sad la. She wasn’t even that old. No matter what, she always managed to maintain her looks, and she is very pretty.
Aiya…so sad la.
Kam-moe, I hope you are resting in eternal peace. No more pain, no more nausea, no more anything. I shall miss you dearly.

Breast cancer really a big enermy for women.. I understand your feeling, when you see a healthy person become sick and suffer from cancer and become very thin and finally pass away.. really hurt… My uncle also like that !
Take care ya
