It’s XMAS!

by mott on December 25, 2007

AIK!

Time has flown and it’s already Xmas. Tomorrow is Boxing Day, a public holiday for Aussies..and apparently the day of the BIGGEST SALES happening. Mr.T and his sister will be waking VERY EARLY tomorrow, to go shopping. All shops open at 8am, and apparently, it’s really really really slashed down to ridiculous prices. I’d go..but y’all know how I feel about Shopping..plus, being so big…I doubt, I’d like to fight with anyone else..too tiring leh.

It definitely feels more Xmassy here than in KL. I guess, they really celebrate it in a big way. I shall certainly miss CNY….coz it’ll be super quiet here. Sigh…I tried to get really horrigible CNY songs to remind me of the shopping malls…but guess I was too late. I think I’ll try looking for it online…I’m sure someone has posted it! HAHA!

Anyway, was so busy in the days leading up to Xmas. Ppl really celebrate it here like mad! Non stop lunch bbqs and dinners!!!!!

We had a really great Xmas Dinner…

salad
For starter, we had Baby Roma Tomatoes, Baby Spinach, Toasted Pine Nuts in a Balsamic Vinegar Dressing.

pasta
For appetiser, we had Pasta with Basil, Garlic and Roasted Crushed Almonds.

main
For main, we had Roast Chicken and Vegetables with Rosemary.

cookie copy
For Dessert, we had Spoon Dented Cookies with Lemon Curd. The big ass cookie was my idea. Only becoz it was already so late, and she has so much patience making them all same sized. I just told her to make giant ones…coz we would be the ones eating them. Of course, big is never always better. HA HA HA!

It was yummy, all home made. I made the first three..my sister-in-law made the cookies.

I find that I hv been extensively cooking very well here…perhaps becoz the weather is so conducive and it makes me wanna cook. Things I never bothered to make in KL : Pizza, Minestrone Soup and ….dang..I forgot what it was!

Hope everyone of you have a fantastic and stress-free, healthy year ahead!
