Big Moves

Posted on November 27, 2007

Ha… I realised this ages ago..but decided to blog about it la.

I’m so tired la. I’m really tired of moving.

I realise that I only move when I’m pregnant.

1) 3 months pregnant with No.1 , to Melbourne.

2) 3 months pregnant with No.2, moved from KL apartment to KL landed property.

3) 6 months pregnant with No.3, to Melbourne, again!

I’m so so tired la. I don’t know what is it with me and moving only when I’m pregnant! And these are big moves somemore! Involving buying furniture, accessing schools, getting settled in!

I really feel like a refugee sometimes, because I don’t know if my moves are permanent or not…hence, I don’t like to commit myself into buying very nice furniture. So, that’s why my furniture is always cheap cheap cheap. But I really would like to settle down once and for all and get very nice decent furniture. Furniture that I really like. Instead of refugee type furniture! WAKAKAKAAKAKAKAKAAKAK!

To me, refugee furniture means having to DIY myself..wakakakakaakakak..and then breaking down on me!!!!!! Sorry la Ikea..but I have so many chest of drawers that are on the verge of falling off, only because I didn’t screw it in the right way…or do it correctly!

I just want to get furniture fully assembled ..and very pretty. But that costs money…. ARGH!!!

How do you expats take it? Moving all the time… I suppose for them, it’s ok, because everything is paid for..whereas, mine..I have to DIY Payments also!!!!

So..you know my future plans?

NO MORE MOVING! Which also means.. NO MORE PREGNANCIES FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!

I fully understood how you feel… last time I used to move very often… ever moved like 3 times a year with all my furnitures!!!!

Like the Chinese saying, “seong oak, pun har oak, em kin yat lor kuk” which translate to, upper floor moves to lower floor you lost a bucket of wheat…

Must throw things which I really hate!

Hope you have a smooth move to Melb!
