“Hot!”

Theme today? HOT!

Many interpretations of HOT can be made… unfortunately, today, being an extremely uncreative day for me… this will be my ‘HOT!’

hot

I say this, because … it has burnt me a couple of times…leaving me scarred! I have learnt by knowing its’ ways….I can successfully iron men’s shirt with ease.

Plus, I keep yellin’ at my kids…”DON’T TOUCH! IT’S ….. yes, you’ve guessed it! HOT!!!!”

This is actually my mom’s iron, since my own iron is on a huge vessel, having its’ own adventure..to a new land. And…it’s my LEAST favourite house-chore! Because it makes me HOT and bothered, when I can’t smoothen the lines!

My mom’s secret to crumpled clothes is to spray water on the clothes before ironing.

4 shoppingmum November 24, 2007 at 2:53 pm

I hate ironing. It’s the heat that makes me sweat before I am done with the laundry. Luckily, I have a maid.

5 And Miles To Go... November 24, 2007 at 2:55 pm

also my least favorite chore!! Wonderful take on this weeks theme.

6 eastcoastlife November 24, 2007 at 2:55 pm

I hate ironing too. Lucky nowadays don’t have to do it. hehe….

7 monaco November 24, 2007 at 3:15 pm

that’s not bad at all. it sure didn’t cross my mind that I could use an iron for this week’s theme. I burned myself using it so many times too.

8 Lynn November 24, 2007 at 4:10 pm

Haha! Same here, ironing is my lest favorite household chore. I’d rather use the washing machine than do ironing.

That is an “instrument” I don’t use anymore, youpee ! Since my husband is retired I don’t have to iron his shirts anymore and all the rest of our clothing I don’t iron. I never buy something which has to be ironed. What a luck !

That’s very creative. No one else thought of it so far. Looks like we all try to avoid this activity. Thanks for visiting.

Strike while that Iron is hot. Good choice for the hunt.

21 katney November 24, 2007 at 9:53 pm

My dryer actually has a “tumble press” setting. I use it frequently.

22 ipanema November 24, 2007 at 10:03 pm

now that is certified hot! :)

23 JC November 24, 2007 at 10:31 pm

Great choice, lol… I’m with the majority, ironing is not a pleasant chore!

24 chris November 24, 2007 at 11:22 pm

25 expatraveler November 24, 2007 at 11:31 pm

Sounds good enough to me, I haven’t seen a pic of just the iron yet. ;-)

26 tanabata November 25, 2007 at 12:03 am

Nice idea for the theme. I hate ironing and have to admit I haven’t done so in several years!

27 BlurMommy November 25, 2007 at 12:45 am

I hate ironing too! That’s why I love my dryer, no need to iron! hehe…

28 TeacherJulie November 25, 2007 at 1:38 am

Mott, I don’t like that chore too. Good thing our laundry services is not that expensive so off to the laundry shop clothes that need to be ironed go.

Have a great weekend

29 Teena in Toronto November 25, 2007 at 3:19 am

I can’t tell you the last time I ironed anything!

Thanks for stopping by mine :)

30 kissedalotatoads November 25, 2007 at 4:14 am

If it were not for hot irons, we would all look wrinkled. Great shot and have a good weekend.

31 Huey November 25, 2007 at 10:22 am

Ooo. I didn’t think of that. Probably because I am too lazy to do much ironing lately. Hehe.

32 Rach (Heart of Rachel) November 25, 2007 at 11:19 am

That’s definitely hot. Someone else does the ironing in the house and I’ve never learned to do it myself. Nice entry. Thanks for visiting.

33 YTSL November 25, 2007 at 12:02 pm

Yeah, ironing’s one of my least favorite chores too — so much so that I usually don’t bother doing it! ;S

34 pelfy November 25, 2007 at 10:27 pm

yes, this is very hot! never play with it. ahhhaaa

35 tinylondon November 26, 2007 at 3:28 am

My husband once marvelled how the kids had a lot of “wash and wear” clothes  ; like it was a coincidence!

36 Patricia (Pollywog Creek) November 26, 2007 at 3:35 am

I think you were very creative. Ironing is definitely one of my least favorite chores, as well. Blessings on your weekend, and thank you for stopping by Pollywog Creek to see what is hot in this place.

37 Baldwins Girl November 26, 2007 at 6:44 pm

That was a slap-my-head-why-didn’t-I-think-of-that shot! Good job. Can’t even tell you how many times I’ve said “don’t touch it, it’s hot!”

38 Larry November 27, 2007 at 1:49 pm

Gadzooks, I didn’t think they still made those things. I can’t remember the last time I ironed anything. I think I got my comments operating again. While there may have been others who viewed my entry, only one person commented. Thanks again for alerting me that my comment weren’t working — for that matter, I’m not quite sure if I did fix the problem or not as there has been a sudden dry spell in comments to my posts. Perhaps this week’s PhotoHunt red theme will produce more comments. HMmmm, going to check out my red photos!
