Romancing a stone..
I’m quite a stone. Quite cold and hard at times. It’s hard to romance a person like me. Why? Because I’m so practical, I do not believe in flowers, cards and box of chocolate, or anything you see in Romance Novels. Reading romantic novels to me, are some fantasy you can escape to, which is great for an hour or two.
Actually, I’m real easy to please. Like for instance, my dear husband wants to get me a laptop. But he keeps asking which I’d prefer, a HP, Compaq or a iMac.
My answer? The one with the most value-for-money and as long as I’m able to get online, whichever would do. But I know he really wants me to be satisfied so, he is fretting over which laptop would most suit me. Of course, I’d like something zippy (fast processing) and with a DVD burner.
That’s the kind of romantic person I am. A very practical one. Don’t get me ANY flowers, don’t try to hug me, don’t be ‘romantic’. Give me something you know I’ll use. Plus, because I’d be constantly ‘touching’ my laptop, to me, that is the most romantic thing I’ll be doing. Ahem.
I’m just glad my husband realises it..because he’s a lot simpler when it comes to romance. I just have to hold his hands, give him plenty of hugs and kisses. He values that a lot. Is that a good end of a deal or what? Heh…
