Yeup..folks.
Just got back from one. Saw the PC on…and decided to try my luck with doing some work. I just got rejected for one…and quite promptly deleted it because it didn’t follow the terms of service. Oh well..tough noogies for me. My fault really. I didn’t do as I was told and I got rapped on my fingers with a wooden ruler.
Anyway..yea..it was a all-girl’s pyjama party. Let me tell you, the birthday girl was lookin’ H-O-T! Wearing a sexy red lingerie, she even danced the salsa for us. She teaches salsa.
As we settled down for our girlie-girl talk, she told us she was in a real funk. Y’know..you would’ve never thought it of her. She seemed like a kinda gal who had it all. She teaches on her time, she has 2 great kids..and she has time for holidays. She even has time to play mah-jong.
Her complaint? The usual. Why do us women have to find a balance between work and family? Why do we always have to give up one or the other, just to be truly successful at what we choose to do?
Sigh..I had no answer for her. I feel men too, have the same feelings sometimes. But most of them, just keep quiet about it.
At the very least, she felt light-hearted after our talk….having let out some of her frustrations, which was echo-ed around in the room. I hope she feels better now. I feel sad that it’s only now I get this chance to talk to her. It’s hard to talk to mums…because when u have kids around….you just can’t focus. It’s times like these..that we should have more of. Which is so damn hard to find!

I do think ladies do easily express their emotions better among friends. Guys don’t bond like women do… guys usually don’t go too personal with their feelings. We women just open up about everything from family problems, in-laws to bed performance. Ahem..
You close with these ladies? It is sure good to bond once in a while. Too bad now you cannot wear your Victoria Secret to the party… Well, maybe next time hor? lol
Funny la. I didn’t know any of her friends. And they all spoke Mandarin. So..I just ate and ate lor. But she spoke to me in English/Canto lor..that’s how I know lor.
