Happy birthday my lil 5 year old guy!

5 years ago, 8.45am, you got vacuumed out of me! All red faced, screaming like you really wanted to stay in my womb… you brought a real runner’s high to me. At that point, I felt no more pain… I only felt the greatest rush of adrenalin in the world. No marathon run will ever bring me that.

I can’t remember if I actually cried, but I know I felt NO PAIN!

Unbelievably, you are now 5 years old. I couldn’t even imagine at that point of time, I would be capable enough to feed you..let alone raise you! In retrospect, it’s pretty obvious that I was in La-la land, when I decided to have kids. In serious denial ..all I thought kids would do is shit, sleep, cry and eat. Who knew they had lil minds of their own? Who knew it would be near to impossible to control them?

Yesterday, you told me you didn’t want a birthday party and you didn’t want me to sing to you the Birthday song. You are soooooo incredibly shy now. Sigh… I love u so much…I can’t help but want to celebrate your birthday for you!

So, happy 5, my lil man! You really make my heart happy!
