Boy oh boy..

Posted on September 17, 2007

You know ah…… I’m always on the lookout for signs. Signs which way my No.1 will be heading towards. I’m so weird la…instead of guiding him with his intelligence, I’m more worried of his emotional state.

See…a lot of times, this kid loves to play with cars. He’ll create scenes, roads, accidents, highways, bridges…and accidents. Then there are also a lot of times, he likes to play with his tea-set. Yes, this mother bought a cheap-ass plastic tea-set for him. He’ll be setting up picnics, having tea-parties, having a cookout (”I’m Mr. Chef now!”), asking me if I’d like to eat in his restaurant.

Then there are some times, when he takes out my vanity mirror (those lil pocket mirrors), stare into it….and exclaim how pretty he is.

Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy…….

I normally just leave it..but I’m worried. Which way is this boy going? Will he be asexual? Ok..that I can deal with. Will he be gay? Ok..that I can deal with. Will he be bisexual? Ok..that I might not be able to deal with. How am I going to greet his boyfriend, knowing that he too has girlfriends?

Sigh….

Then yesterday, he saw “Power Rangers” on TV3 and shouted, “OOOOOOOOOOOOO… yea…………………..WHACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT!”

He was cheering for the evil errr..dino-monster-robot thingy. He wanted that thingy to destroy the city.

Ahhhh…………. he’s definitely growing up to be some-what of a mystery to me. Perhaps I shouldn’t even think too much about it. I will get back to you all on these thoughts, in oh.. 20 years time. Think by then, he would have figured out himself, by himself.

aiyah, you worry too much. When my son was little, I brought him tea-set, pram and cooking set. I played housekeeping with him some more. I’m sure my son is growing to be a macho guy. :)
Yes…I can see he’s quite macho…and very ‘kwai’ also!!!!

hahaha…i think i agree with the rest of the mums. U worry too much.

Yesterday, i was showing my boy my new mango lip balm. It has such a heavenly mango smell, and my boy just could not get enough of it and dabbed it on his mouth, nose…etc. Everything is an experiment to them.

*grins* i think he wants to EAT IT!

No point to worry too much. You can only observe and guide on a situation-to-situation basis.

    oooOOoooo…. I guess. They’re fighting like pro-wrestlers now… sheesh!

Hi M–my little one loves to play with tea set, dolls, painted toenails and … oh, she’s a girl (smile).

Too much worry and too soon to be judging, eh?

Guide with joy and watch him grow (smile).

What? No trains, planes and automobiles?? Ha haa..just kidding. I know some girls LOVE to play with trains… ;-)
