Fake

photohunters

This week’s theme is “fake”…….

mott-fake

This is my very first fake Xmas tree. In fact, it’s my very first Xmas tree. We finally bought one last year. For the boys to enjoy.

Throughout my entire childhood, visiting friends during Xmas were the only way for me to admire them. My parents always thought they were a waste of money.

True.

But, having one is so much fun! Plus, it’s recyclable! Heh!

In Mississippi we had a Christmas tree farm near our home. Some people with the large antebellum homes would go and pick out a huge 20 foot tree and cut it down, have it flocked and delivered to the home. I took my daughter one year and she picked her tree, we sawed it and took it home. The fake ones hold the ornaments so much better, but there is nothing like the smell of the real thing.

That sounds really great..I’ve yet to smell one!

I bought a Xmas tree one year after seeing my friends’ lovely Xmas trees and the fun they had decorating it. The excitement lasts only 3 years. hehehe…. Now left with lots of Christmas tree decors. Oh, the tree’s been discarded.

    3 yrs…oh dear……..well, 2 more years to go!

A fake tree is definitely the only way to go! No watering, dead pine needles, or hauling it away to recycle. A fake tree is perfect!

    hee hee….u got that right!

I thought you are going to say you bought fake lego toys too. rofl….

You should see the real x’mas tree sold in Ikea. They are so beautiful. But heck, a fake one can last forever (with proper care).

    Ha ha ha…well….ahem..shan’t say anything…abt them legos…

I like the idea of fake Christmas Trees!! They save our forests!!

How clever. Boy, I had a tough time coming up with something fake. Y’all seem to make it look so easy for the theme.

    Happy Hunting.

  17. Renee July 7 2007 @ 7:08 pm

We’ve always used fake christmas trees, mostly because I hate having to pick up needles all the time! LOL

    Mine is up too.

Thank you….!!!! Hope u had a great weekend!

  18. Karen July 7 2007 @ 8:54 pm

Ei, got lego one ler. Haha.
We used to have one a few years ago, my first Christmas tree. Sold it after that, too much work, plus we always go back to Malaysia during that period, so no more tree.

ha ha ha… i so get what u mean!

  22. Dragonheart July 8 2007 @ 1:26 am

Fake Christmas tress are so much better! No mess, no horrible allergic reactions, safer, and better for the environment!

We don’t have real trees over here because I live in a tropical country. But I’ve had a real tree when I lived in Canada and that was one of the sweetest things I’ve smelled in my life.

    Here’s mine:

really? but I’ve seen pine trees in tropical countries……not the same kind like the ones in the states/canada..but almost similar! ;-)

  26. Julian July 9 2007 @ 2:35 pm
